In this creative class you will learn the technique and make a fused fabric collage embellished with beads and mount it in an 11” x 14” photo mat. No sewing required. Beginner friendly technique. And leave class with a finished product that makes a great gift or special item for your own creative space!

Barbara will provide instructions for the design, a stamped fabric center for your sunflower, green fabric scraps for the stem, and beads.

Supplies to bring

• 11” x 14” photo mat with 8” x 10” opening. White double mat works well.
• Fat quarter of fabric for background. If you choose a Seth Apter with printed words (what I used) you might want to get a ½ yard to make placement in the mat easier.
• Fat quarter of fabric for the sunflower petals
• ½ yard of Lt. Steam-a-Seam 2 fusible web
• Craft glue in a bottle with a pointed tip (for attaching beads)
• Double sided scotch tape
• 11” x 14” piece of cardboard to back the mat
• Small sharp scissors
• Small cutting mat, rotary cutter and ruler
• Pen and pencil
