Chesapeake Treasures is a chartered Chapter of the Smocking Arts Guild of America (SAGA) (smocking.org), whose purpose is "to preserve and foster the art of smocking and related needlework for future generations through education, communication, and quality workmanship." Chesapeake Treasures will meet in Cottonwood's classroom, and you are welcome to join for two sessions before becoming a member. More information about their group is available on their website.
The Chesapeake Treasure members are delighted to share the treasure of smocking and related needle arts with you. Feel free to visit us in person at any of our meetings.
It's not just smocking! Heirloom sewing, quilting, embroidery, silk ribbon, drawn thread, applique, doll dressing, and more. Come learn and share!
