January 18 and 25 | 12 - 3
This class introduces the craft of crochet, focusing on building foundational skills through practice and repetition.
- Objective: Learn the basics of holding the hook and yarn, creating essential stitches, and completing a simple item like a washcloth.
- Duration: Two 2-hour sessions
- Target Audience: Absolute beginners, both right-handed and left-handed learners
Supplies Needed
- Yarn: One skein of smooth, worsted-weight (medium size 4) yarn in a light, solid color (dark or fuzzy yarns can make stitches hard to see).
- Crochet Hook: One hook in a corresponding size, typically an I-9 (5.5 mm) or J-10 (6 mm) is recommended for beginners.
- Tools: A pair of scissors
- Optional: Stitch markers (can be a bobby pin or scrap yarn) to help count stitches.
