This "marker roll up" is a versatile sewing project, and perfect if you're a beginner wanting to learn and make something useful in one session! Use this for paint brushes, markers, colored pencils, make up brushes, crochet hooks, or whatever you want! Roll it up, tie it and go!  This class is appropriate for confident teens and beginner adults!

Led by instructor Nancy Wiswall, this class builds on existing skills in a collaborative, social setting.  Prior knowledge of your sewing machine and the general operation of the machine is required. 

Instructor: Nancy Wiswall (Bringing several decades of experience teaching kids and adults to sew)
Format: Three hours
Project: Fabric Marker Roller-Up

 

 


What to Expect:

 

  • Collaborative Fun: Students will work on the same exciting project, fostering a great sense of community and teamwork in the studio.

  • Skill Building: Reinforce machine sewing basics, neat seam techniques, and learn how to create custom pockets and ties. S

  • Confidence Builder: A fast-paced, rewarding project that leaves you with a finished, functional item you can use all year.  Be ready to make more for gifts!  Once you make one, you will want to make more!

  • Skill Level: Advanced Beginner / Intermediate 

You'll Need To Bring To Class:

  • 1/4 yd or one fat quarter for the main outer fabric

  • 1/4 yd or one fat quarter for the main inner fabric

  • one fat quarter for the pocket

  • 1/2 yard of 20" wide SF101 stabilizer for Pocket and Main pieces to be stabilized

  • 1 yard of coordinating ribbon, ric rac or cording for the tie

  • sewing machine

  • thread

  • scissors

  • rotary cutter

  • pins

We will provide cutting mats and irons and ironing boards

Cancellation Policy 

  • All classes require registration and prepayment. Please check our website for our full class offering.
  • Classes may be canceled for low registration or for events outside of our control (weather, etc.) - if this occurs, a full refund will be offered to any registered participants.
  • There are no refunds for class cancellations. Any cancellations made 72 hours prior to the start of the class will be offered a “class credit” valid for six (6) months. There is no guarantee that the same class will be offered, and class credits are not transferable to store credit.
  • Cancellations made less than 72 hours prior to the class start or no shows will forfeit their registration fees in their entirety.
