Scanfil Organics are spun from the finest long staple Pima cotton, grown without the use of chemicals and pesticides. Each spool is wound around biodegradable wooden spool cores. With Scanfil Organics you can rest assured your thread is GOTS – Global Organic Textile Standards – and OekoTex-certified. During production Scanfil only uses natural dyes, natural lubrication and a very stringent mercerizing process. Like you, Scanfil cares for the health of people and the environment.

Scanfil's Organic extra long staple 30/2 mercerized organic cotton is a higher quality, softer, and stronger thread. It is more durable; the staples are longer lasting. Organic ring-spun and combed cotton threads are among the softest available on the market. Because it is combed cotton, it is also strong, stable, durable, and very low in lint.
