Kids can build on the sewing skills they gained in our Sewciety Kids program and conquer the zipper pouch! In this focused, hands-on kids class, students will create their own fully functional zipper pouch. Guided by expert instructor Nancy Wiswall, kids will learn the secret to smooth zipper installation and leave with a personalized pouch they can use every day.
What to Expect
- Skill Level: Perfect for kids who have already taken our Sewciety Kids classes and are ready to jump in to learn some new skills this summer.
- The Project: Every student will work on the same zipper pouch project, allowing the whole group to learn, stitch, and celebrate together.
- The Skills: You will learn how to properly measure and cut fabric, and install your very first zipper.

- Instructor: Nancy Wiswall (Decades of teaching and sewing experience)
- Materials: All materials are completely provided!
- Prerequisite: Students who have attended the Sewciety Kids Beginner Workshop are eligible for this class. Do you have a student who is interested but hasn't taken the Beginner Workshop? Let us know! We will try to schedule one before the class! This Beginner Workshop is a 2-hour $55 class in which students learn about sewing safety, the Cottonwood classroom and the Cottonwood sewing machines. A small project will be completed during this workshop.

Cancellation Policy
- All classes require registration and prepayment. Please check our website for our full class offering.
- Classes may be canceled for low registration or for events outside of our control (weather, etc.) - if this occurs, a full refund will be offered to any registered participants.
- There are no refunds for class cancellations. Any cancellations made 72 hours prior to the start of the class will be offered a “class credit” valid for six (6) months. There is no guarantee that the same class will be offered, and class credits are not transferable to store credit.
- Cancellations made less than 72 hours prior to the class start or no shows will forfeit their registration fees in their entirety.
COMPLETING REGISTRATION AND PAYMENT FOR A CLASS INDICATES YOUR ACCEPTANCE OF THESE CLASS POLICIES.
